Samuel Y. Wessinger

Samuel Y. Wessinger is managing director of Peachtree Valuation. Sam has over 25 years of valuation and financial advisory experience. Through Peachtree, Sam serves business owners, companies, attorneys and accountants, and other financial valuation firms.
Sam has provided valuation and advisory services regarding private and public companies in a variety of matters, including dissenting shareholder, oppression, securities fraud, divorce and other litigation; gift, estate and income tax; financial reporting, including allocation of purchase price and impairment testing; and transactions, buy-sell agreements, recapitalization, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), and stock options and other stock-based compensation.  Sam's valuation experience spans many industries and includes common and preferred stock, partnership and membership interests, debt securities, options, warrants, and various intangible assets.
Sam is skilled and experienced at reviewing valuation reports and analyses, both as regards technical issues and as regards standards compliance.  He has reviewed many reports and analyses, including those of leading business valuation firms and practitioners, and can provide expert valuation review. 
Sam has testified as an expert witness in state and federal court.
Sam has provided valuation services as managing director, director, principal or manager with nationally recognized boutique valuation and litigation services firms, including Financial Valuation Advisors, Inc., and served as vice president with the NationsBank Private Client Group (now the Bank of America Private Bank).  He was an assistant vice president with Wachovia Bank of Georgia, N.A. (now Wells Fargo), and promoted employee ownership of companies during four years in trade association and non-profit management with the ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership.
